Aromatherapy Massage & Oils

Lindsay's Alternative Health Care uses the Young Living essential oils in their Aromatherapy Massages. These oils are organically and harvested by hand. They can be taken internally, inhaled or neat on the body.

Below are three of the many essentail oils used at Lindsay's Alternative Health Care.

WinterGreen
(Gaultheria procumbens) contains the same active ingredient (methyl salicylate) as birch and is beneficial for massage.

• Warms and comforts muscles

Peppermint
(Mentha piperita) is one of the oldest and most highly regarded herbs for soothing digestion. Jean Valnet, M.D., studied peppermint's effect on the liver and respiratory systems. Other scientists have also researched peppermint's role in improving taste and smell when inhaled. Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint's ability to improve concentration and mental accuracy. Alan Hirsch, M.D., studied peppermint's ability to directly affect the brain's satiety center, which triggers a sensation of fullness after meals.

• Helps dry patchy skin
• Elevates drowsiness and fatigue
• Best oil for supporting digestion and gastrointestinal function

Lemon
(Citrus limon) has antiseptic-like properties when diffused. It contains 68 percent
d-limonene, a powerful antioxidant. It may serve as an insect repellent and may be beneficial for the skin.

• Power antioxidant
• Supports immune system
• Deeply cleansing antiseptic
• Uplifting and refreshing
